Annabel is a tremendous studbook mare with a pedigree that rivals one of the best in the country. She is a petite Friesian mare of perfect proportions. Annabel is sired by the great Jillis son, Abe, who is not available in the US. We bought Annabel because we were so impressed by her dam, Lindaa, a STER mare that is soon to be Preferent due to the performance of her offspring. Annabel would be an excellent addition to any top notch breeding program, but we have concentrated on her own sport capabilities and she has been showing and scoring well in Training Level competition. A tremendous mover, a Friesian mare with classic looks and really amazing cadence to her gaits, even the vet that performed Annabel's recent pre-purchase commented on her outstanding power from behind, and natural elasticity and balance.
This fully papered mare from Europe has a motherline that is VERY productive, as her dam is STER [and soon to be Preferent], grandmother is Ster + Preferent, and great grandmother is Ster + Preferent....indicating Annabel's motherline consists of dams that are not only STER themselves, they are PRODUCING 4 or more Ster offspring, passing on their exceptional conformation and movement from generation to generation.
If you are looking for that smaller Friesian, and want a mare with not only a solid dressage foundation, but show experience, and a tremendous trailmaster and all around pleasure horse, you need to come ride Annabel. She has no vices whatsoever, and is a dream to work with on the ground, gets along well with our other horses, and is one of the nicest mares under saddle that we have ever offered.
