Horse Description
This is a RARE opportunity to buy a well trained friesian that has a winning show record in Dressage in Europe, AND going saddleseat in the US. Floris was a winner the first time out in the US, taking the Woodside UPHA Chapter 1 show by storm. Blu trotted off with the tri-colors in the Friesian Walk and Trot qualifier and Championship at this competitive "A" rated USAE show in May. Not wanting to miss out on all the fun with this special horse, Janna then won tthe Amateuur Friesian Under Saddlle class with him! This boy can do it ALL....points in L level dressage, saddleseat champion just 2 months ago, and you should see this handsome BIG fella set up in harness!! He has INCREDIBLE presence...if not sold beforehand, we will show him in the Friesian Driving division at the Salem, Oregon Show, next month, just too prove FLORIS is a CHAMPION in EVERY division [dressage, saddleseat, and carriage!].
Floris has very balanced lovely gaits that are easy to sit. He has wonderful talent and he has what it takes to to be a wonderful companion out on hacks or trails AND is a strong competitor in the show ring. He has a great work ethic and is perfect for an adult amatuer or professional. He has schooled through 2nd level , showing L Level in Europe. He is very intelligent and with the right rider will move quickly through the levels. If you want something with a lot of talent and will take you to the top, and is SAFE, not spooky, out on the trail, then this is the horse for you.
Floris is 16.1 hands, and is a VERY handsome Leffert son. He has ideal uphill conformation, and a very strong backhand. He comes with a thorough pre-purchase exam and clean x-rays.
Floris scored VERY well on the ABFP test, earning an "8" for type, and "7.5" for his exceptional walk, and "7" 's for leg work and canter. Even the Dutch Judges thought Floris's movement is outstanding! This is an absolutely beautiful friesian with wonderful conformation and a beautiful head. He has a very sweet dispostion, and is a very kind, willing partner. Floris will not get frustrated with the rider that makes mistakes, he is easy going and quiet. Floris has perfect transitions, and canter departures from the walk or stand still [none of this running into the canter stuff!]
Floris is a wonderful mover and will take a rider all the way, both as a pleasure/trail horse, AND in the show ring!
Blu rode Floris for the first time on Apr 24, and he FELL IN LOVE. By May, he was in the winner's circle [Blu is our resident novice rider who rides just once per month!] . Don't miss out on this VERY talented, BIG, handsome Leffert son. Floris has already achieved quite a show record, and is the kind off horse you can put your grandmother on.
