I have been following your site for a while and you explain your standards as in what type of horses you sell quite well so seeing the videos and knowing you've been doing this as long as you have has given us the confidence to move forward with this process.

On a side note, Hilde's nickname at the CEM quarantine farm has been "Dutch Diamond Princess". They absolutely love her and her sweet character. They gave her this name because when she stepped off the trailer from NY she wore the most beautiful leather halter that accompanied her with lots of bling on it. She stood out because the other mares that arrived with her, one an almost 100K Dressage mare from the Warmblood auction in Verden, Germany, ALL came in wearing the most ratty, tattered and cheap looking Nylon halters on the verge of falling apart you can imagine. They told us she must have been well loved to come with such a nice halter. :) THANK YOU to you and your partners in the Netherlands who made sure she's travelling in style and with her "Sunday best" halter. :) 

 We appreciate your help along the way to make this a smooth process.

Thank you again from both of us to match us up to her, we hope to have many years of enjoyment with her!

Update:  Hilde fan Seldsum, purchased with the help of Janna Weir of Black Sterling Friesians and now affectionately called Tamina at home, brought home two blue ribbons today winning in both classes entered on her first time out with trainer Macy Clark and we’re so excited for our future together! Thank you most of all, Janna Weir for trusting us with this fabulous mare. She’s everything we could have asked for in training, temperament and confirmation and we‘d purchase again from her in a heart beat.

Hi Jana! 

Mr. Perfect is doing superb! What a kind, amazing horse. He just ‘ gets ‘ me. He’s handling the heat well. I bring him in out of the flies to a cool stall with fans on hot days. He’s got the zebra bug coat and his color is just stunning and rich with only slight fading. ( His paddock also has huge trees,  so it’s shaded , I guess that’s cheating ?). He’s the best horse I’ve ever had and you are a professional right down to the letter !

I am blown away.

 How can a horse be any more cooperative, confident, trusting and responsive.  His changes are very clean, too.  

Zager (Twix) is an absolute perfect horse.  I rode him in a clinic yesterday with David Wightman, and he said of all my horses, he likes how we look and go the best.  He is so level headed, cooperative, never has taken a wrong step,  He doesn’t get anxious, stressed, uptight about anything, and he does love to work.  He is beyond friendly, and adores all.

He would show up at a party with a lamp shade on his head. --Yuk yuk. 

And, he is smooth as can be, and I can sit his trot better than anyone else’s. His trot is so beautifully floaty and everyone comments about it.  Hugs to YOU. 

UPDATE...

Twix (Zager) is sensational.  He is my ultimate partner in rhyme.  We do excellent together, and he is the one who is going to help me go up the levels.  He is such a blast, and has a stellar mind and work ethic.  

Am soooo thrilled that I ended up buying him.  I remember Wendy’s father telling me over the phone that he has one of the best characters he has ever seen in a horse. 

He is absolutely correct about that!!!

Update 2 yrs later:

OMG ——I am the luckiest lady in the world, to have such magnificent Friesian horses from BSF.  Everyone single one of them is excellent in performing the level they have  been educated to, very cooperative, great work ethics and character, and take good care of whoever rides them, which is several folks. My friend Diana rode him in her very first dressage competition in Intro level, and did great.  Anyone can ride him, and he always shows up.  Twix (now Zager) took excellent care of her,  I truly wish I could clone that absolutely perfect horse. He is beyond astounding, and everyone loves him to bits and pieces because he is so focused, willing, talented, cooperative, has a great sense of humor and character.  Several of my senior gal pals I saw at the show said they would love to have a Friesian just like him!!!!

Remington steele (Kasper) was an INCREDIBLE surprise gift from one awesome husband, to his wife in Charlotte, NC.  Kasper was imported as a stallion, and went through the required additional 30 day cem quarantine--the whole time being kept a secret!  Family and friends were on hand for the "surprise presentation", which was filmed---if we could ALL have such husbands!!! WOW, what a momentous moment!  The husband and i were texting back and forth for 30 days, getting prepared for the arrival and surprise. From Kasper's new owner in NC: "He is amazing!!! I agree w? your assessment that he is a great guy who does not act like a stallion!  Great boy for Lauren.  I’m told he is a ladies man.   He is the MAN.   I tell Lauren he is an Olympian.  The other good news is I am the hit:)  We bought a farm in S.C. for him. We love him. -James"
