Hi Janna, Luca is here!!  The transport trailer was amazing. Luca had his own 8x10’ stall. Joe, the owner/driver of Chasing the Sun Transport (CTS) really seemed to like Luca and took care of him as though he was his own horse. I highly recommend him and his company.
Luca is beautiful and just the perfect size for me! I can’t believe he is actually here and that he traveled 7,000 miles to come live in SD.  

I wanted you to know he arrived safe and sound and that I love him! I’m quite amazed at how well he is doing already after his recent long trek. I let Luca out in his corral this morning. He had a great time romping through the snow! It was very fun watching him move even in the snow. He is doing great.   Thanks again for finding him for me and making the trip here seamless. All of those involved in his transport were wonderful, keeping me up-to-date as to his location along the way. Thanks so much for everything, Janna!

Sietse is just AMAZING. He is a true once in a lifetime horse. He is just what I was looking for. After riding him, I had him in the cross ties and he put his head in my arms and hugged me. He is such a nice horse. Super smart and supple. Sietse is a very special horse!

I am thrilled that I was the one to be blessed with Salvatore becoming a part of my life. There was just something about him that really clicked with me! He’s a very sweet boy and wants to please—and he’s hilarious at the hitching rail. He’s always trying to nuzzle me when I’m grooming, tacking, or washing him. A very curious and in your pocket guy! My sister Brenda even got on him for a few minutes a few days ago. She hasn’t been on a horse in 5 years or more, but after watching me ride she felt comfortable trusting him. He was awesome with her.

I’m really having a great time with him. Thanks again!!! I’m very happy with my “pony” and know we’ll have a great time together.

My experience with Janna and purchasing my dream friesian was nothing but positive. Buying a horse sight unseen and importing can feel overwhelming...all the questions, the what ifs, and the unknowns but Janna will ease your anxiety and make the process flawless. Janna was always there for me, answering all my questions with an immediate response. She is kind, honest, knowledgeable and has your BEST interest at heart. You can rest assured that your friesian will be athletic, kind, willing and have a solid mind. She genuinely cares and interested in updates. Hi Janna, I can't believe we have had our beautiful boy for a week already!!! He has settled into his new home very quickly. He is such a brave, patient boy!!! We love him, oh SOOOOO much!!!!❤️️❤️️ Everyone at the ranch has been by his corral to say hello and want to know where he came from and more about the Friesian breed. His mane is AMAZING!!!! Just gorgeous!! I couldn't believe how much hair fell out of his braid as I undid it for the first time. Unbelievable!!! More importantly though, Ducati is just as beautiful on the inside. He is patient, well mannered and very sweet. These pics were taken the second day he arrived....... The stud chain was not needed but my trainer wanted it at first as we became acquainted with him and his behavior around the mares. I just wanted to let you know that Ducati and I are doing well. It’s been a great year with him! I’ve really had to step up as a beginner and be there for him. I’ve worked very hard with my trainer on a daily basis, having to work through challenges and fears but enjoying the journey and forever thankful for my sweet, gorgeous boy! I’ve done a few schooling shows and lately have been enjoying a weekly quadrille class. We plan to form a team and compete this year, intro level for now and hopefully just have some fun with it.

Everyone who comes to the farm comments on how beautiful he is. Then they pet him and he is like a dog!! Such a gentle horse!!

Everyone that comes to the farm falls in love with him!! We hacked around the neighborhood and were stopped by several people who wanted to know what breed he was. Even grown men were falling all over him!!!

I recently showed my Friesian, acquired from BSF, at a hunter-jumper show in N Calif, and am having the time of my LIFE with a horse this woman chose specifically for me; hence I just had to share my personal experience with Janna Weir, who I have immense respect for, as an accomplished equestrian, and a woman that really CARES about her customers, and their horses. There isn’t an individual selling Friesian horses in N America that has the track record.. I was impressed to discover this woman won in Madison Sq Gardens, was chosen to represent the U.S on a World Cup team, and recipient of FHANA Presidents trophy...i chose to work with janna because she isn’t a “horse trader”, she is an amazing equestrian herself, that just happens to have a passion for the breed I fell in love with, and a knack for matching riders with horses. I searched the internet and did my due diligence, and I couldn’t find anyone with her record of accomplishments, not to mention in looking at her testimonials, I discovered many of her “competitors” actually purchased their first Friesians from her Black Sterling Friesians. After spending time in Janna’s world, it is clear that while she is PASSIONATE about her horses, selling horses is not what this woman has to do, to make money. I told Janna exactly what I was looking for, and trusted her to match me with a horse that would be able to meet my needs…and not only did she find me an AMAZING well trained, perfectly healthy horse—she found me a horse that has FAR SURPASSED my expectations, and has truly brought me more happiness to my life than I could have ever thought possible. Even long after my check was cashed, janna is always available to answer my questions, talk on the phone, has had the patience of Job for dealing with my 101 questions, and she made a point of coming to watch us compete in the jump off last weekend, at the Sonoma Horse Park. There isn’t anyone else I would consider trusting with a friesian purchase sight unseen. She is the real deal, and I couldn’t be happier doing business with janna.
